Our comprehensive 300-hour Electronic Health Records with Electronic Medical Billing and Coding program is comprised of three individual courses: Introduction to Microsoft Office Suite 2016, Electronic Medical Billing and Coding, and Electronic Health Records courses.
Each course in the curriculum prepares students and allows them to sit for the certification exams. Introduction to Microsoft Office Suite 2016 course prepares students for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification, Electronic Medical Billing and Coding course prepares students for Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) certification, and Electronic Health Records program prepares students for Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS) certification.
Upon completion of the program students will qualify to work as Medical Records and Health Information Technicians in a variety of healthcare settings and will be able to specialize in many aspects of health information. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of Health Information Technicians is projected to grow 13 percent from 2016 to 2026., faster than average for all occupations.
